playful thursday

Carlee was in a very playful mood today. She quickly grabbed the mattress cover after I took it out of the dryer and started playing her "where are you?" game. She would hide, and say, "mama! wer awre yyooo?" (trying to portray Carlee talk here, lol) She kept busy with this for a good few minutes, before finally getting distracted by the cats. Then she went on to play doctor, which I think she was excited about since she had just been to the doctor. She remembered she had doctor toys to play with!

On that note, her doctor's appointment went great. She was up to date on her shots, so no pain for Carlee on her birthday. :) They finally listened to me and put her on allergy medicine. So she should not be sneezing and having a runny nose as often. ahem, thank goodness! She was even really chatty at the doctors, which was unusual.

She's starting to talk in a few sentences, AND she's learning a few words in Spanish (thanks to Dora) and Italian (well, thanks to living here.) hehe. In Spanish, she'll say Hola! and Vamenos, which sounds more like BaamnOOOs. lol. We actually never talk to her in Italian, mainly because we're just starting to pick it up better ourselves, but when the Italian workers came over the other day, one looked at her and said, "Ciao, bella!" and she looked at him, waved and said "Ciao!" I was so surprised. We never say ciao to her, always hello, but now we're starting to say both. It's amazing how fast they pick things up. She'll also say grazie of course not as clear, but still. And the amount of English of course has gone way up. She's gone from hardly talking to talking all the time. Kids are just so incredible!

She kept wanting to hear my heartbeat... so it made it hard to take pics of her. I kept trying to get her to check Boots out. lol
