first baby sign!!!!!!!!

Carlee used her first baby sign at dinner time!!! At first I told her I was going to put her bib on, and she gave the bib sign. So after praising her forEVER... we started eating. And I asked her if she wanted more and did the more sign... and she did THAT one too!!! well, her variation of it. She tapped her two pointer fingers together, but she kept doing it when I said "more" so I knew what she meant! YAY!!! I'm so excited! by the end of dinner, she had given up, but it's a START!!! woohoo! Yay for Carlee! I'm so proud of her! :D

10 months old

ten months..... whoa.
little Carlee is not so little anymore :( she's growing so fast.. she's standing alot more and letting go of everything more often.... exploring all over the house! lol... her top two teeth finally broke through tonight, which made it a fun late night... she's also been trying her hand at eating (gumming/chewing really) new things like pizza crust and rice cakes... fun fun... and messy :) we've also decided to start trying the "baby potty training" method... but I'll give a longer update later. :)

9 month check up

a few weeks late... i know... :) but the Dr. said it was okay.

Carlee is in PERFECT health! yay! from her ears, to her toes! she's up to 21.6 pounds, and I forgot the height already... :( we'll have to measure her ourself I guess. lol... her immune system must be doing really good, considering mommy and daddy are both fighting colds. :( but thankfully she hasn't caught it, and hopefully she won't catch it. She didn't have to get any shots today. The doctor said her top two teeth are just about to break through, which I had thought, but wasn't completely sure of.

She's growing so fast! Learning new things everyday... the other day, she sat on the floor and watched Finding Nemo... the first time she's done that ever! She also made a fish face the other day for the first time, and did it again today. lol, and the doctor saw it! haha. She's been mimicking me like crazy! I did a open mouth face, and she copied it right away, opening her mouth as far as it could go. LOL... i tried to get a picture of it, but the angle is weird. She's also been babbling away all the time with a bunch of squeals and screams mixed in. She's also learned to pass things back and forth between her and mommy or daddy. So we've been having lots of fun. I'll try to take some pictures soon! :)

Sandy Feet

The news said Saturday would be the first Beach Day of the season... so we couldn't not go! We picked up lunch and headed out to the sandy shores. Carlee had a blast! It was amazing how much more active and interested in the beach than she was the last time we took her.

Putt Putt :)

The Saturday before we left we spent with Grandpa Joe at Putt Putt! It was a nice day, and Carlee loved being outside. Then we had to go inside to let Carlee play Daddy's favorite game, Tekken. :D

Friday night we spent hanging out with G-ma, Grandpa Reid, and Aunt Nikki. Carlee had so much fun playing the whole night! We also celebrated Aunt Nikki's birthday too!

We went to Olive Garden to celebrate Aunt Brittany's upcoming birthday. Carlee was very good... except when she kept eyeing my drink. haha... she didn't really get a sip lol :)

sooo i'm up late tonight adding pictures so that i won't feel overwhelmed with them when we get back to florida. we decided to leave on sunday. after our last visit back on thanksgiving, i promised myself i would take so many more pictures... ugh! but i've failed again! i forgot the camera on some really important dates...

Carlee had her first play date with our friend Sarah's baby, Kailee... they were so cute! playing with eachother's toys and being interested in eachother. Kailee is only 6 months old, so Carlee had to be careful... but they were so cute together, and we had so much fun! :D

I also forgot to take pictures when we very first got here and uncle JJ was here visiting :( I really wanted a picture of Carlee, Brittany, and James... grrr... :(

And Carlee also got to spend the day visiting her Grantip, Granny Jackie, and Uncle Chris too... and I forgot the camera THAT day too! :( booooo to me....

I took some more pics today... but it's almost midnight now, and I'm tired... so those will have to wait. All the others, I'll back date to what they're supposed to be once I get some time, probably after we get home. Next time we visit in May we'll have to definately make up for some untaken pictures! :)

Grandpa and Grandma Beck bought Carlee her first ever bracelet! It's soooo pretty! :D

visiting Lampasas

Today we drove down to Lampasas and visited with Great Aunt Mona and Uncle Richard! (Hopefully Carlee's Godparents to be, it'll depend on what the Church says) Carlee warmed right up to them, and they were thrilled with meeting her. She had so much fun playing with both of them and managed to break Texas.... (a Texas coaster, lol) :D

I took Carlee into Great Grandma's old room and sort of made the introduction I wish I could of made in time.... I feel that she was there watching over us, and did get to meet Carlee. :)

We finally got a five generation picture taken at my cousin's birthday party! yay! I'm going to crop and enlarge this one and it's going on my wall. :D

Carlee has learned to wave... but I couldn't catch her with her hand open... only with it closed! As you can see, she still has to concentrate quite a bit... and is usually watching her hand when she does it lol... Yay for Carlee!
This is a close up of her tonight too. We ate at Giovanni's and she was such a good girl! She even got to meet mommy's fourth grade teacher who happened to be dining there also. :)

Today we went and visited with Grandpa Joe :D Carlee had alot of fun playing with her favorite talking parrot! lol... she even tried to eat it... HAHAHA she was hilarious and gave me and Joe a big laugh.

Grandma bought Carlee a cool little walker... and she picked it up right quick! She's now zooming around the house following everyone! She loves it!!! It won't be too long now before she's walking on her own.... gee thanks grandma! haha.... :D

Visit in Georgetown

We went to Georgetown with Gr. Grandma Beck to visit Great Great Grandma Torres! Little Carlee had so much fun! Grandma Torres loved talking to her, and Carlee loved talking and laughing back.
